The European Space Agency (ESA) has just released the final images taken by the Rosetta probe before contact was lost. The images were captured by the mission’s OSIRIS camera and this final set covers pictures captured between July and September 2016. The video shows the comet in astonishing detail. Rosetta took its final images as the spacecraft descended to the comet's surface during the mission's final two months. According to ESA, the last images were captured just 20 meters (65.6 feet) away from the surface of the comet.
