A new look at neurological disorders

Neurological disorders have always been described on the basis of behavioural problems of the patients. Now it appears that some neurological disorders share a common molecular basis (schizophrenia and autism for example), whereas others have a unique molecular profile (depression). These findings provide a new concept for diagnostics and future treatment of neurological disorders.
