Should I go to IITD engineering physics or stick with NSUT Computer Science

Context: and so i gave my JEE in 2018 the very first time, got adequate rank to choose NSUT Computer Engineering, but could not get enough to land well within an IIT. And So I considered passing on again while persuing CSE in NSUT (partial drop) and today in 2019 In my opinion I’ve the rank to obtain me into IIT Delhi Engineering physics. I absolutely enjoy being involved with information technology but would like to visit an IIT, so my question essentially is can one persue a job in information technology while carrying out a course in Engineering physics? What’s the scope for Engineering physics. Does branch really matters here? In Addition, I am available to other suggestions.

Kasturi Saha joined IIT Bombay as an assistant professor in December 2016. She did her Ph. D. in the Quantum and Nonlinear Photonics Group of Prof. Alexander Gaeta in the School of Applied and Engineering Physics at Cornell University. Her thesis work involved the characterization, time-domain analysis and stabilization of frequency combs generated in silicon nitride microring resonators and ultra-low power nonlinear optics in photonic bandgap fibers. She worked in close collaboration with Prof. Michal Lipson’s group in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
